The overall idea of this game was to create a multiplayer experience, where one team/player tries to burn down everything, while the other team/player is trying to extinguish the fires.
A concept of two teams/players playing against each other, but where you can’t kill each other.
The game is far from being ready yet – both with regards to gameplay and graphics. The code/simulation also needs to be optimized, and there is currently only one map.
However it is playable in a single player experience, where fires will erupt, and you have to put them out. Language is only in Danish so far, but it is normal WASD controls for a first-person game. Extinguish fires by left clicking the mouse, and beware that fires that are seemingly extinguished can re-ignite!
The game is built with Unity, coded in C#, and comes with no warranties. The current available version (packed on May 6th 2020) is licensed under Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 (You can share and distribute but not for commercial purposes, you can’t make derivative works, and you will have to attribute me)
To play the game, download the Zip file, and extract to a chosen location. In the folder FireFighter, run the application “Fire Fighter”.
I will be more than happy to answer any questions!
